Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure services to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data to stakeholders

  • Develop and manage data warehousing solutions using Snowflake and Delta Lake

  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures and models to support various business needs

  • Create and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation and loading

  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions

  • Optimize database performance and query execution to enhance data processing speed

  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant data protection regulations

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, architectures, and workflows

  • Implement and monitor data quality and governance processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • Certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate)

  • 2+ years of experience with Azure, Databricks, Datafactory and Spark

  • Knowledge of Big Data Framework (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Hbase)

  • Knowledge of data modeling tools and techniques

  • Knowledge of real-time data processing and streaming technologies

  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions on cloud (e.g., Snowflake, Delta Lake)

  • Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI framework

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Solid communication and collaboration abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality
